I CHOOSE!

It's quiet. It's early. My coffee is hot. The sky is still black. The
World is still asleep. The day is coming. In a few moments the day will
Arrive. It will roar down the track with the rising of the sun. The
stillness of the dawn will be exchanged for the noise of the day. The
calm of the solitude will be replaced by the pounding pace of the human
race. The refuge of the early morning will be invaded by decisions to be
made and deadlines to be met. For the next twelve hours I will be
exposed to the day's demands. It is now that I must make a choice.
Because of Calvary, I'm free to choose. And so I choose. I choose
love...
No occasion justifies hatred; no injustice warrants bitterness. I choose
love. Today I will love God and what God loves.

I choose joy...
I will invite my God to be the God of circumstance. I will refuse the
Temptation to be cynical... the tool of the lazy thinker. I will refuse
to see people as anything less than human beings, created by God. I will
refuse to see any problem as anything less than an opportunity to see
God.

I choose peace...
I will live forgiven. I will forgive so that I may live.

I choose patience...
I will overlook the inconveniences of the world. Instead of cursing the
one who takes my place, I will invite him to do so. Rather than complain
that the wait is too long, I will thank God for a moment to pray.
Instead of clenching my fists at new assignments,
I will face them with joy and courage.

I choose kindness...
I will be kind to the poor, for they are alone. I will be kind to the
rich for they are afraid. And kind to the unkind for
that is how God has treated me.

I choose goodness...

I will go without a dollar before I take a dishonest one. I will be
overlooked before I boast. I will confess before I accuse.
I choose goodness.

I choose faithfulness...

Today I will keep my promises. My debtors will
not regret their trust. My associates will not question my word. My wife
will not question my love. And my children will never fear that their
father will not come home.

I choose gentleness...

Nothing is won by force. I choose to be gentle. If I raise my voice may
it be only in praise. If I clench my fist, may it be only in prayer. If
I make a demand, may it be only of myself.

I choose self-control...

I am a spiritual being. After this body is
dead, my spirit will soar. I refuse to let what will rot, rule the
eternal. I choose self-control. I will be drunk only by joy. I will be
impassioned only by my faith. I will be influenced only by God. I will
be taught only by Christ. I choose self-control.

Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
gentleness, and self-control. To these I commit my day. If I succeed, I
will give thanks. If I fail, I will seek His grace. And then, when this
day is done, I will place my head on my pillow and rest
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long~suffering,
gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance.
Against such there is no law. Galatians 5:22~23

1Peter 5

1The elders among you I exhort, who am a fellow-elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, who am also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed: 2Tend the flock of God which is among you, exercising the oversight, not of constraint, but willingly, according to [the will of] God; nor yet for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; 3neither as lording it over the charge allotted to you, but making yourselves ensamples to the flock. 4And when the chief Shepherd shall be manifested, ye shall receive the crown of glory that fadeth not away. 5Likewise, ye younger, be subject unto the elder. Yea, all of you gird yourselves with humility, to serve one another: for God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace to the humble. 6Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time; 7casting all your anxiety upon him, because he careth for you. 8Be sober, be watchful: your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour, 9 whom withstand stedfast in your faith, knowing that the same sufferings are accomplished in your brethren who are in the world. 10And the God of all grace, who called you unto his eternal glory in Christ, after that ye have suffered a little while, shall himself perfect, establish, strengthen you. 11 To him [be] the dominion for ever and ever. Amen. 12By Silvanus, our faithful brother, as I account [him], I have written unto you briefly, exhorting, and testifying that this is the true grace of God. Stand ye fast therein. 13She that is in Babylon, elect together with [you], saluteth you; and [so doth] Mark my son. 14Salute one another with a kiss of love. Peace be unto you all that are in Christ.

1Peter 2:1-5

"Putting away therefore all wickedness, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings,as newborn babes, long for the spiritual milk which is without guile, that ye may grow thereby unto salvation;if ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious:unto whom coming, a living stone, rejected indeed of men, but with God elect, precious,ye also, as living stones, are built up a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God through Jesus Christ"

WE LOVE YOU MOM'S.

Mom's have always played a vital role in our lives, and Mother's Day is a great chance remember and give thanks to moms. Over the centuries, Moms have been given jobs of great faith.

Mother of Moses

Jochebed was the wife of Amram and the mother of Moses. We learn about her the most in Exodus 2. Pharaoh commanded the mid-wives to kill all boy Hebrew babies. The mid-wives feared God more and Moses was born anyway. Mothers and fathers have often feared over the future of their children.
Imagine Jochebed's fears! Moses was born into a super hostile world. Eventually she placed her baby boy in a basket and let him float down the river. He was found by Pharaoh's daughter and spared. Who knows if Jochebed placed him on the river strategically close to Pharaoh's daughter or not.
However, her heart had to have broke as he him floated away from her. Pharaoh's daughter saw a beautiful child and needed some one to nurse him. Jochebed was the woman hired to perform this task. Moses was taught about God during this time. No matter how hostile the environment a godly woman can teach her children about God.

Mother of Samuel

Hannah was the wife of Elkanah, but she was barren, 1 Samuel 1. She prayed to God for a child.
"O Lord of hosts, if You will indeed look on the affliction of Your maidservant and remember me, and not forget Your maidservant, but will give Your maidservant a male child, then I will give him to the Lord all the days of his life, and no razor shall come upon his head" (1 Samuel 1:11).
This woman dedicated her son to the Lord. After he grew she weaned him and took him to Eli. There is no definite age, however we do know this child was very young. "Moreover his mother used to make him a little robe, and bring it to him year by year when she came up with her husband to offer the yearly sacrifice" (1 Samuel 2:19).

Mother of Isaac

The changing of Sarah's name was more than a play with words. Sarah meant mother of nations. Every time someone called Sarah or anytime she introduced herself to someone she was making a statement of faith, calling herself the mother of many nations even before she had a child. By this time she was already 90 years old.
GEN 18:10 "Then the LORD said, 'I will surely return to you about this time next year, and Sarah your wife will have a son.'"
Sarah eventually gave birth to Isaac.

Mother of Jesus

Mary the mother of Jesus, although a virgin and promised to marry to Joseph, was with child. She was not asked how she felt about this situation.
God chose Mary and she had to accept what happened.
This was durring a time where young unmarried pregnant women at that time were stoned.
She was going to have the Savior of the world. During her life she would get to see him grow (Luke 2:52), perform miracles (John 2:1-11), gather large crowds (John 6), and God's Word.

Mother of Timothy

Lois was the mother of Eunich, 2 Timothy 1:5. Often we read of her grandson, Timothy. However, Timothy's mother was Eunich.
We also know that Timothy's father was a gentile, Acts 16:1. We also know Timothy learned the Holy Scriptures while growing up, "from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures" (2 Timothy 3:15a). Lois and Eunich worked as a team in teaching Timothy.

“CONCERN YOURSELF MORE WITH INVESTMENT THAN ENJOYMENT”-Luke 12:16-21

“CONCERN YOURSELF MORE WITH INVESTMENT THAN ENJOYMENT

If your peace is based on the things and not on the will of God, you have a false peace. To stay in balance spiritually, think in terms of investments rather than enjoyment.

The self-assured rich man was obsessed with enjoyment, not realizing that he was about to abandon all the things he expected to Enjoy.
He was revealed as a fool and a selfish man, and his life came to a sudden end.

In similar fashions, many Christians live like fools because their concern is success in this world, and they driven by a sense of security.

“BE RICH TOWARD GOD”

“The eyes see what the heart loves”
if we love God and put His will first in our Lives then whatever material blessings we receive will only draw us closer to Him.
By investing in things eternal by giving with a future-focused mindset, we become “RICH TOWARD GOD”

"THE GREAT HOPE" 1Thessalonians 4:13-18

The Thessalonians were wondering why many of their fellow believers had fallen asleep (Died) and what would happen to them when Christ returned? Paul wanted the Thessalonians to understand that death is not the end of the story. When Christ returns all believers –Dead and Alive will be united never to suffer or Die again.

What Does Paul means when he says, “By the Word of the Lord” Either this was something that the Lord Had revealed directly to Paul or it was a teaching of Jesus that had been passed along orally.

Vs 15-18
Knowing exactly when the Dead will be raised in relation to the other events at the second coming is not as important as knowing why Paul wrote these words- To challenge the believers to comfort and encourage one another when Loved ones Die. This passage is a great comfort when any believer dies.

Because Jesus came back to Life, so will all believers .
All Christians including those living when Christ returns will live with Christ forever. Therefore we need not to despair when Loved one dies or world events take a tragic turn. God will turn our tragedies into triumphs our poverty to riches our pain to glory and our defeat to victory.
All believers throughout the history will stand united in God’s presence safe and secure. As Paul comforted the Thessalonians with the promise of the resurrection so we should comfort and reassure each other with the "GREAT HOPE".

THE LORD WEIGHS THE HEART PROVERBS 21:1-10:

“What are your intentions in Life? Whatever it may be God Knows every intent of your heart. As the heart of the King is in the Lord’s hands so is your own.” He has the power to do with you what He likes. It is always good to have a right thinking and also do the right thing  for it is more acceptable to God than sacrifices. Diligence does not come naturally to people: It is a result of  strong  character. Do not look out for easy quick success. Be diligent student and servant of God.........HAVE A BLESSED EASTER HOLIDAY

A Look at Daniel

Daniel (remember- the guy in the lion's den?) He knew how to really listen to God throughout the day. Daniel 6:10 says: "But when Daniel learned that the law had been signed, he went home and knelt down as usual in his upstairs room, with its windows open toward Jerusalem. He prayed three times a day, just as he had always done, giving thanks to his God."
Three times a day, Daniel paused to pray and give thanks to God. He was focused on God and listening; that's what a Bible devotion is designed to help us do. They're short, concise and don't take long to read, but they give us a thought that will carry us through the day with our focus on God.
Now, in Daniel 9:2: "During the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, was studying the writings of the prophets. I learned from the word of the LORD, as recorded by Jeremiah the prophet, that Jerusalem must lie desolate for seventy years."
What was he doing? Studying the writings of the prophets? That would be the Bible, right? Yes, Daniel also did some serious Bible study. We can't just live on snacks all the time. We need to take time to sit down and enjoy a full meal too.
God was able to do amazing things in the life of Daniel. Much of it was because Daniel was willing to seek God's face and take time to listen to His will. Daniel kept his focus on the eternal.
Father, please help me to be like Daniel and seek your face daily. Help me to learn to hear your voice even above the "noise" of the busyness of life and see what's really important. Thank you that You walk with me each and every day and have rescued me from the lion's den.

Appreciate your God-Given Glory!

Negativity is an ineffective ways for dealing with stress and sin. When we're negative we feel bad. We project and blame others. We try to be perfect. We expect others to be perfect. We idealize ourselves. We idealize others. We run from it in compulsive behaviors. We complain and complain! These are all ways that we deny - rather than accept and deal with - the reality that goodness and badness are both a part of ourselves, others, and the world we live in.
God says to us in his Word, "Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good" (Romans 12:21). This is living with a positive-minded faith in Christ. The only way we can live this way is to live by the attitude that the Apostle Paul opens Romans 12 with, "In view of God's mercy."
Many people have trouble receiving, internalizing, metabolizing, and relying upon God's goodness. Maybe you're one of them. When you look in the mirror you feel bad. This hurts you and others. For God's grace to flow freely through you in your way of dealing with life and in your relationships with others it has to get in you.
To not experience God's grace in your heart is to struggle with guilt and shame. If this is you then probably your feelings of personal badness have a long history. Maybe you were abused or neglected as a child. Maybe you grew up in an alcoholic home. Maybe you felt that your parents weren't pleased with you no matter how hard you tried to do good. Maybe you've just felt lost in this world, like nobody really understands you.
Or maybe your shame is tied to sinful things you've done. Ways that you've violated God and others and your own self.
If you feel bad about yourself then you need to learn to open your heart to God's mercy and grace, to see yourself as he does: forgiven, loved, being transformed. In other words, God's goodness needs to overcome the badness inside you.
David, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit in Psalm 16 said, "As for the saints who are in the land they are the glorious ones in whom is all my delight."
The Apostle Paul said the same thing: As you trust in Christ you are a GLORIOUS ONE. You're created in God's image. Yes, you've sinned, but you've been forgiven, redeemed, and Christ is at work transforming you with ever increasing glory:
"And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
Do you believe this? I don't think you do! I want you to listen to Jesus' words: "You are the light of the world." (Matthew 5:14). YOU are the light of the world. Yes, YOU.
I know you're thinking, "Jesus is the light of the world." Yes, he is, but he's also given his light to you to shine through you. If you don't shine your light in your world where you are then it'll be dark in that place. Other people who need God's light through you will miss out.
So turn to the person next to you as you're reading these words and say, "You are the light of the world!"
We all need to receive God's grace - his kindness to us and his affirmations of his goodness in us - through one another as Christ's Ambassadors. This helps us to discern and trust in his grace as it's revealed to us through his Word, the sacraments, spiritual disciplines, and nature.
When you finish this article I want you to practice this. Look in the mirror. Smile. And say out loud Jesus' words to yourself: "You are the light of the world!"
For some of you this will be really hard. You'll laugh. You'll feel awkward. Maybe you'll cry. You need to practice this. Meditate on God's grace to you. Memorize and pray over Scriptures. Get with grace-giving friends and take risks of trust and work at internalizing his goodness. Have a blessed day!

"TAKING THE WORD TO THE WORLD"

"Last week was such a blessing when we had a medical team going round the Laikipia County Helping people physically But we also had time to witness to them and some of these people met the great physician Jesus Christ. It was so amazing. In some instances as the above we had to simplify the gospel in more than 4 Languages to make it clear. From uklainian, to English, To Kiswahili to Maaasai language" Its called taking the WORD TO THE WORLD Mathew 28:18-20.

"Words are Powerful"

Mark 6:14-29
“Vs 14 &15, Who do you think Jesus is? Today many signs and wonders are claimed to be performed by many.this should not confuse us into believing false Christ. Jesus is the son of God anointed by God to perform wonderful works of salvation  see Acts 10:38 John the Baptist fearlessly condemned sinful acts Vs 18. What do you do when your friends are involved in sin? Do you condemn or you join them in the acts? See 2nd Timothy 1:7. We must be careful in our utterances as believers. Our declarations stand. We should use our tongues to produce life and not death,” Have a blessed Night.

Saved By Grace

"For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men,
teaching us that denying ungodliness and worldly lusts we should live soberly righteously and godly in this present age. Looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our  great God and savior Jesus Christ" Titus 2:11-12      I am happy to here.
